CitySearch, an online local guide, announced today that their Mobile by Citysearch app for the Android is now available. With the applications, users can browse, search and share information for over 15 million local businesses found in 75,000 US neighborhoods. Users can also submit reviews while on the go, using their Android devices. With the GPS functionality built into Android handsets, the applications can search for nearby restaurants, cafes, banks, movie theaters, and more. Once locations are found, Google Maps integration can provide turn-by-turn directions.
“Our mobile applications enable users to experience their city, their way – offering the best local content and features available, no matter where they are, or which mobile phone they use,” said Kara Nortman, Senior Vice President, Publishing, Citysearch. “As one of this year’s hottest holiday gifts, Android phones will now deliver an even better local experience to users, who can search, find and share local user reviews and editorial content in real-time.”

I’ve loved Apple products for some time, they produce gadgets that is aesthetically gorgeous while working like a each and every time. I can’t say that about alot of companies, it’s usually one or the other. Companies don’t usually take aesthetics seriously like Apple. With me stating that I’ve got to say that I’m very excited about the upcoming Tablet. One thing I question though, is it too soon? I think that this product may be ahead of its time. What do you think?
Its Apple we are talking about. They are the people that brought the iPod. Although there are a lot of news on the market about where the idea came from. But I’m not going to get into all that. Bottom line is Apple always came up with innovative ideas and changed the way we use technology and think of technology. They think of things that we havent thought of. Apples always thinking big. Bringing in gadgets that are beyond our imagination. Gadgets like we only see in scify movies and stuff.
I dont think Apples has brought iPad soon into the market. I think its a good idea for them to bring it out. It is the same technology that went into iPhone/iTouch. Just think of it as a bigger iPhone/iTouch.
I love Apple for what they do. I remember when they introduced the 5th Generation iPod Video and first thing I said jokingly was- whats next? internet on iPod. I guess I was right they brought us internet on iPod Touch
