Motorola Droid Android 2.1 Delayed AGAIN!
The most anticipated Android 2.1 for Motorola Droid has been delayed again. Same thing happened before Motorola announce of Android 2.1 but then they said it was a mistake. Again we are seeing the same thing happen but from Verizon’s side. This is going to tick off a lot of Droid users. Yesterday Verizon announce release of Droid 2.1 update information. Verizon mentioned that the Droid limited number of Droid owners will start receiving 2.1 OTA update shortly rolling it out to everyone else. If any issues were to occur, Verizon would only have to deal with small number of people rather then everyone.
Internal screen shot was leaked at Engadget. Heres what they have to say:
Internal company documentation clearly states that the aforementioned update won’t be going down today, and there’s no clear indication of when it will. To quote:
- “The OTA software update for the Droid by Motorola is TBD. A new date will be communicated as soon as possible.
- The 3/18 OTA software update will not happen as planned. A new date will be communicated as soon as possible.”
This maybe upsetting news but I’m sure the Android 2.1 update isn’t too far way.
