The concept of a “Connected Campus” is no longer a futuristic vision but a reality. Today’s college students are incredibly tech savvy, quickly moving from one task to the next and expecting instantaneous responses, and the Ed Tech solutions they interact with store a wealth of data. Students and need access to materials, data, and each other whenever and however they want. Connectivity is the critical piece for today’s universities to help solve the digital divide. From large state campuses to rural universities in smaller communities, secure, seamless access is essential moving forward. Connectivity that bonds the students and faculty to the campus and the data within the campus is essential to access insights and guidance to promote student success. Connectivity begins with devices, high-bandwidth mobile applications and the latest developments in Wi-Fi connectivity. Then connectivity extends to data, personalized insights, artificial intelligence and virtual reality to deliver a new, intelligent way of learning that centers around the student.
