Jin Wang

Jin Wang currently holds an Assistant Vice President position in AT&T CTO's Network Analytics and Automation group, focusing on network analytics, network planning as well as the application of ML/AI in network. His team build key performance indicators for AT&T's network and services, develop data-centric, AI powered network planning and optimizing solutions, and extract network intelligence for the architecture work of next generation communication network.  

His past work experience includes network modeling and testing of xDSL/GPON system, development of AT&T's IPTV network monitoring and optimization tools, AT&T field operations' quality control program and AT&T mobility network reliability. In University of California, he conducted extensive research on optical fiber communication. Trained in the field of electrical engineering, he has been increasingly drawn to computer networking, statistics, machine learning and artificial intelligence.   

Jin holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from University of California at Berkeley. Jin resides in San Francisco Bay Area and is married with 2 children. He enjoys running, reading, travelling, and watching basketball.
